Materials and Resources

The following pieces of literature were chosen for their content related to the subject and their availability.  They are intended as a springboard for creative thought and further exposure to different types of literature. Other stories or poems may be substituted, or this aspect of the assignment may be considered optional for the teacher.

These selections may be found in McDougal Littel's Literature and Language, English and World Literature, Purple Level 1994.

Students will spend extended time in the media center to research as a group. Research will be conducted using materials available in the media center, online databases, and Internet sources.

Students have the opportunity to use PowerPoint to present their findings, but may also choose to use Word, Excel, Digital Cameras, or Outlook to enhance their projects.

Many students have computer access at home and will be expected to email any information back and forth to effectively use all class time available.
