Curriculum Objectives
- Student teams will select an area to search for the potential for
life or the possibility of intelligent life. This can be a planet in
our solar system, a moon of a planet, known planets of other stars,
potential planets of other stars, the possibility of life in our
galaxy or the possibility of life in the Universe.
- Student teams will research the various earth biomes to determine
the environment boundaries of life as we understand it. This can
include Antarctic lakes, deserts, ocean vents and others. We will not
explore science fiction creatures such as silicon based life.
- Once the boundaries have been established the student teams will
then research their area to determine if the body meets the criteria
for life.
- The student research team will then produce an 8 -10 minute persuasive
PowerPoint presentation to support their findings.
