How did I feel about this assignment?

Compare what you are learning to what you already know. Or what you see on TV every day. I love the idea of using what really interests students in the classroom as a way to get them to connect to the curriculum.

Probably one of the most successful units I have ever created, "What is your Ideal Crib" was a terrific experience all the way around. As I was writing the information for the Investigations and Other Activities page, I commented about the assignment throughout.

What would I do differently next time? I think I would include a lot more detail. Some students simply pulled entire rooms from MTV and described them. The idea I had was for them to piece together a room using several different pictures from several different sources.

What advice would I give to someone attempting this unit? I would suggest that you make one of the guidelines that they must CREATE each room, rather than use an already existing room.
