Life Skills
What is the Life Skills classroom? The Life Skills class is made up of students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities, these students show limitations in communication, social skills, and taking care of him or herself. This class has many different skill areas that are addressed such as: social interactions, domestic skills, pre-vocational and vocational skills, as well as daily living skills. Students with moderate to severe disabilities have IQs of 50 or below, with 100 being an average IQ. Although some students may be able to live independently, most will require assisted living and supervised work areas throughout their life. How could a tutor help in this class?
