Houghton-Mifflin Education Place http://www.eduplace.com The book collection is not required for this website. There are off-shoots for kids and parents, but this is primarily focused on an idea haven for teachers. Searchable activities and lesson plans are only a few of the numerous ideas held on this website.
Web for Teachers http://www.4teachers.org 4Teachers.org works to help you integrate technology into your classroom by offering FREE online tools and resources. This site helps teachers locate and create ready-to-use Web lessons, quizzes, rubrics and classroom calendars. There are also tools for student use. Discover valuable professional development resources addressing issues such as equity, ELL, technology planning, and at-risk or special-needs students.
Discovery Learning http://school.discovery.com This is the site of the famous Kathy Schrock's Internet guide, but it also has so many more excellent features. From content activities and resources, to tools such as puzzlemaker, this site is a huge wealth of knowledge and help to teachers.
ABC Teach http://abcteach.com Focused on earlier education, this is the place for kids, parents, student teachers, and teachers. It consists of primarily free printables: 5000+ free printable pages and worksheets.
Teach-nology http://www.teach-nology.com Although containing a few too many advertisements for my purposes, TeAch-nology.com offers teachers FREE access to 27,300 lesson plans, 6,000+ printable worksheets, over 200,000 reviewed web sites, rubrics, educational games, teaching tips, advice from expert teachers, current education news, teacher downloads, web quests, and teacher tools for creating exciting classroom instruction.
A to Z Teacher Stuff http://atozteacherstuff.com A to Z Teacher Stuff is teacher-created, and designed to help teachers find online resources more quickly and easily. We offer lesson plans, thematic units, teacher tips, teacher discussion forums, downloadable teaching materials & eBooks, printable worksheets and blacklines, emergent reader books, themes, and more.
Microsoft Education http://www.microsoft.com/education As well as all the information on their programs, Microsoft provides a website for teachers, students and parents regarding technology tools, skills and integration. Some items include the entire Encarta Reference Library 2005, Tutorials specially made for teachers, a wide range of technology enhanced lesson plans, templates, clip art and examples of innovative teachers incorporating technology.
