Task

Your final project will represent your hard work in deciding if your school should teach evolution.  Your presentation, web page, or brochure must be professional looking, articulate, full of relevant factual information, be visually appealing, and must contain accurate information.  Remember, you are presenting this to your school board to try to convince them to vote how you would vote, so it needs to be done well, and be concise, because you will not have much time to speak at the upcoming school board meeting.

The WebQuest Learning Goals:

  • Review the main points of the Theory of Evolution

  • Identify the main points and counterpoints associated with Evolution and Creationism

  • Organize these points in a concise manner

  • Share information on a new point of view with others

  • Objectively and constructively consider different viewpoints in a productive discussion, while considering all sides of an issue in an effort to reach a consensus as to if Evolution should be taught in schools

  • Present your rationale for your final decision via web page, brochure, or PowerPoint Presentation
