DEAD AMERICAN POETS' SOCIETY

The following web quest has been designed for 10th or 11th grade English.  This web quest's main goal is to give each student an opportunity to learn about some American poets of their choice. By finding out some bibliographic information and then going on to read certain poetic selections, a group of students will compile some of the poems which they find particularly appealing to their age level. The two big assignments within the web quest involve writing an imaginary interview with the poet of their choice including one or two poems which are representative of that particular poet and then writing short annotations of the selected poems.
