  • What exactly is a Packard?  Take a look at these beauties!  Be sure you library then showroom then automobiles then 1933 to get a good look at cars that would resemble the ones belonging to Uncle Hammer and Mr. Granger.  Your paragraph in your learning log should be a descriptive paragraph describing the Packard of your choice.

  • Mississippi...what do you know about the state that serves as the physical setting of this novel.  Visit the following website, select "About Mississippi" and learn three facts about Mississippi.  Write an informative paragraph teaching these facts.
