Click on each of the Character Trait pillars: you will then be able to do the projects that will help answer the questions on the Evaluation map (suggest printing the Evaluation map to assist you as you search)Trustworthiness: Searching for this pillar may be difficult, Who can you trust? Create your own 300 word story at this site and come up with 2 trustworthy people and 2 untrustworthy people. End this by printing off your story. You can choose any type of story you want (adventure, romance, drama, comedy...) Make it good! Respect: Read the story "The Snakeman" and then answer the evaluation map questions on respect. Responsibility: It is always your responsibility to get your homework done, it is up to you to help yourself and learn everything you can as best as you can! Explore this site for future homework help and then go to the Middle School section, Click "Math" - Choose "cool math.com " then choose any game and evaluate the game. Score it from 1-5 (5 being Awesome) and report on why it was scored that way (in your oral report). Then go back to "homework spot home page" and search around to present an oral report (1-2 minutes) about 2 sites that would be helpful for others. We're counting on you to help us find homework help! Citizenship: As Americans you have the "Right" to be free. Other kids in other countries do not have things so well. Click onto the PeaceCorps for Kids site, play the "Pack your Bags" game and choose a country to explore. Read what the Peacecorp is doing for kids in that country. Then answer the Evaluation Map questions you will create a poster about your country. Then you will get into groups of 2-3 and answer the rest of the evaluation map questions. Fairness: You are going to pick a science "Hero" and read her story. Then you need to answer the questions on the Evaluation Map. Don't forget the "Google search" and looking up the word "prejudice" you'll write a quick story after searching for a site on "prejudice" Your story will be titled, "Fairness is not found here." Remember Fairness means to treat others the way you want to be treated. Caring: Everybody needs help now and then. Some people are lucky enough to work in jobs that allow them to help people everyday. Pick a "caring job" and explore it on this site. Answer the evaluation map questions. Don't forget to get in groups of 5 after you click on "Dealing with Feelings" and read about "school violence and what it means to you" You and your group will then brainstorm 10 things that you and your school and friends can do to stop school violence. Your teacher will compile these and the whole class will vote on doing some things to stop the violence. Just for fun search for information about "zits".
