INTRODUCTION

Imagine you are an American GI during World War II.  You have been sent to a place far from home to fight a foreign enemy.  How will you handle this task? What is life like for you on a daily basis? How has your life changed from when you were a civilian? What will happen to your family and home in the United States? How will you react when you stare death in the face? This is the story of your life during World War II.
