Introduction

     Drum Corps are, in essence, professional marching bands that consist solely of percussion, brass, and color guard (no woodwinds).  Corps work for hundreds of hours during the spring and summer and compete for the title of world champion in a series of competitions sponsored by Drum Corps International (DCI).  There are dozens of drum corps across the nation and each is known for its own unique style, history, and tradition.
