Task
You have been selected to receive this year's award for outstanding achievement in your career field. Due to the publicity of this award, someone from the Today Show (Katie Couric, Matt Lauer, or a student from this class) will be here to interview you about your career. Everyone wants to know how YOU became so successful at the early age of twenty-five. All of America will be watching you (or maybe just this class) give a presentation about your career and answer tough interview questions written by some of the best news reporters in the field. You are going to give a 2-3 minute presentation followed by an interview regarding your career of choice. In order to be prepared for the interview, you should be able to discuss the following topics:
One way to really impress the television audience is to dress for success! Wear what someone in your career would typically wear to work each day. If you are a lawyer, bring a briefcase. If you are a doctor, wear a stethoscope. You should also create either a Power Point presentation, a poster, or write a song/poem to enhance the presentation and interview. Once your interview is complete, you will join the cast of the Today Show and interview the next guest (or should we say...classmate).
