-High School Track and Field-

Students will divide up into two equal groups. Group 1 will be the sprint group while group 2 will be the distance group. Each group will be responsible for developing 6 work-outs designed for their individual group. The 6 work-outs for each group will be broken down into 2 sections. Section 1 will be pre-season conditioning while section 2 will be competitive season conditioning. Each section will then be divided into 3 sub categories which are the following… 1.) volume work-out, 2.) speed work-out, 3.) plyometric work-out. In summary, each group will develop a volume work-out, a speed work-out, and a plyometric work-out for both pre-season conditioning and competitive season conditioning .

Students will present their workouts to the other students in the other group.  These presentations can be digital (webpage, etc.) or in print.

To find information about these types of workouts, students will need to explore different resources which will educate them on the various types of workouts which are available for training.  These sources are both in print and on-line and can be found by clicking on the link below.
