"It is my nature to join in love, not hate."
                                                                           -- Antigone

Now that you have read Antigone by Sophocles, you know that King Creon banished Antigone from Thebes because she defied his edict of leaving the body of Polyneices, Antigone's brother, unburied.  For defying Creon's proclamation, Antigone was declared an anarchist and was sentenced to death, which was lessened to banishment in a cave.  Antigone took her own life and was never cleared of her charges, being an anarchist.  In this WebQuest, you will undergo the process of researching anarchy and civil disobedience, discovering what the culture of the ancient Greeks was like, making connections to your present-day society, and attempting to clear Antigone's name from the charge of being an anarchist.
