Your Task

Your task for this WebQuest is to determine if Antigone was truly guilty of committing anarchy. You and your classmates will serve as a jury of her peers. As an individual, you will research contemporary examples of anarchy and civil disobedience and compare/contrast your findings to that of  Sophocles's Antigone.   You will then research life in Ancient Greece to become more familiar with the culture in which Antigone lived.  Finally, you will meet in your jury groups to discuss and determine Antigone's guilt or innocence, presenting your findings to the class for a final decision.
